The first thing to look at is their reputation. See if you can find
evidence of reviews and testimonials from people who have used these
particular movers services.
Do not just look on their own website, look around all over the
internet. Companies only tend to put the good reviews on their site
and hide the bad ones away in a drawer or inbox. If you can only
find good reviews then you are probably in good hands. If you can
find only bad reviews then I would keep looking.
You also need to take a look at their prices. You get what you pay
for in most cases. If a quote seems too good to be true then it most
likely is. Do not go for the most expensive movers you can find
either, a move is only worth so much, but do not be stingy either as
you may be in for a big surprise if you go for Joe Soap with a
bakkie to do your move for you.
It is also a good idea to take a look at the services that the
movers offer. If you can get
movers that will pack everything up for you. This makes your life a
lot easier as you do not have to spend days or even weeks doing it.
It might still be a good idea to keep an eye on the proceedings
though just to be sure that things do not accidentally get broken.
If you are careful and do a little research into the movers you are
considering using then you should not have any problem moving house.
As long as you keep an eye on the proceedings everything should run
smoothly and your move will be accomplished with the ease all moves
should. Also remember that you get what you pay for, so do not be a
cheap skate!
